Paris trip
Due to some technical difficulties, I was unable to write my blog when I was in Paris. Therefore, I am going to provide a summary about the trip.
Day 1 - Arrived to Paris
Just checked in to the hotel, chilled out and check out a great restaurant. KitKit's computer just decided to go crazy and making funny sound. Afterwards, it just went dead on us, especially when we purchased 24 hours Wifi online service and download the Hong Kong soap that we were watching when we were in U.K. And obviously he was really upset about that. It's ashame that on the first day, the computer just died on us. I cannot believe that, I was hoping to watch that Hong Kong soap and being about to get online.
Day 2 - Shopping day
I just love shopping whenever I am in Paris, I can just go crazy and shop. This is something that I cannot do in U.K. I never can find something that is worth to shop for. This time I had something in mind that I really want to get, such as bag and some cosmetic. For some reason, I just didn't get any clothes, which I tend to buy when I was in Paris, but spending the day in Galeries Lafayette was just great, I don't have to go anywhere and be able to shop the things I want. I just love it.
Day 3 - MacExpo and Moulin Rouge
This is the key of our trip, going to MacExpo. It was quite sad that there will not be Steve Job's keynote. This was the main reason why KitKit wants to come to MacExpo, it was quite disappointing. We knew that there will not be keynote before we leave U.K. However, all our tickets and room was booked and we just don't see the point to cancel them all, therefore just decided to come over to Paris just to have a great time.
Overall, it's a trip of shopping as well as food and drink. I just think it's so cheap to eat in Paris. Basically, you can get a three course meal roughly about £20 and it is great food. It is impossible in U.K, it will be so much more expensive in order to get great food. I just can't understand why.
I think there are a few things that really amazed me, especially when Galeries Lafayette has Chinese sales assistances. It isn't just one but loads, there are at least one in each cosmetic brand. On the other hand, there are a lot of Chinese tourist who you can see they are just shopping like mad. Their hands are just full of shopping bags from all the famous French brand you can think of. I think the French government actually is a step ahead compare to other countries, realising the importance of the Chinese tourists, where in some of the tourist attractions, there are chinese literature to explain the attraction. I find that very smart, since to be honest, there isn't a lot of destination realise and recongize the Chinese tourist, however the French actually do. I'm just very impress with that.
